The 50 millionth Blog entered the blogosphere on July 30, 2006.
The blogosphere has doubled in size every six months or so.
It is more than 100 times larger than three years ago.
Now the blogosphere is doubling every 200 days, slowing slightly.
There are about 1.6 million postings per day, according to Technorati tracking, That's nearly double the volume of a year ago.
41% of posts are written in English, 31% in Japanese, 12% in Chinese, 3% in Spanish, 2% in Italian, 2% in French, 2% in Russian, 2% in Portuguese, 1% in Dutch, 1% in German, 5% other countries.

Week-long blizzards meant home confinement until a couple of angels showed up to remove two feet of snow from my car..
One angel, unseen, must have come early Saturday, so I've no idea who it was; but the minute I spotted the job, I readied to head for the Post Office to send and pick-up mail. There's no home delivery.
The other angel appeared just as I got to the car and helped clear windows, etc.,.
...but would the car start? We've had below zero temps.
The angel on site watched as I turned the ignition.
IT STARTED !
I let it warm up for a good long time before putting it in gear and taking off for duties delayed, and to pick up mail from a stuffed P.O. Box.
All this after I awoke this morning, trying to figure out how to get downtown without depending on someone else for transportation.
Presto - a couple of angel neighbors showed up!!!
