Now is the time for all good voters to ...

study Prez candidates carefully, then vote out the current Administration. U.S. folks are well aware of our country's many serious problems - losing our freedom being one of the worst. Sure, the economy, the nation's debt, unemployment, and more, worry us all. We the people can set America on a better path. This can only be done if we prepare now by learning all possible about the candidates before we cast our votes.

...and the world's gang still is here !

We're well thru May 21 with no worldwide earthquake nor Rapture.
...only a few hours to go until the local 6 p.m. deadline.
New Zealand's already free of worry for those who were sure it would happen.
If anything good could come of this misadventure, it's that the world's people might consider cleaning up their behavior.

Aging guy predicts world end on Saturday, May 21, 2011; another, coincidentally, does, too !!

He's so sure of it that he spent his life savings to warn others.
How will this happen?
He claims it'll be a worldwide earthquake destroying this planet with all its life.
Then, there's the 89 year old founder of a radio ministry who says Saturday will be the last of days.
Doubters are many. Still, it seems strange that two folks unaware of each other, predict the 'end' for the same day.
I'm a doubter, but just for comtemplation, how would you prepare for Earth's end?
I'm planning to have as much fun as possible, and, keeping the bird feeder full. They're the only ones who can escape.

 Parent's lament overheard.

She said, "My boy loved cooking class but hated history and geography!"
Now it's most unusual for a boy to love cooking class but not so unusual for any student to dislike history and geography.
There IS a way for a teacher to use the boy's love of cooking to change his mind about history and geography.
Simply relate the history of cooking to history and geography.
For instance, teach when and where certain recipes originated plus what, historically, was happening at that time.
Once a teacher is on to this method, it can be applied to other classes students dislike by relating them to a class subject where students do well.
Sure, this may take extra teacher effort at the outset, but in the long run easier as the student improves.
